Benedict Barnabas and the Werewolf’s Underwear
A werewolf adventure For middle grade readers
Ben thought the hard part was over.
He and his best friend had defeated every monster that terrorized their town. Mummies? Gone. Banshees? Handled. Unexplained disappearances? History. Life was finally returning to its gloriously, beautifully, wonderfully boring normal.
Then the werewolf showed up.
There are a few things you should know about this particular werewolf. First, he is terrifying. Second, he wears red polka-dot boxers. (The underwear does not make him less terrifying.) Third — and this is the really unfortunate part — he bites Ben.
Now Ben is racing against time on Halloween night to find the werewolf before something truly hairy happens to him. Permanently. (Finding a werewolf on Halloween night is just as hard as you would think.) He’d ask his sister for help, but she and her best friend have made it their personal mission to make his life miserable, which — and he wants to be very clear about this — is scarier than the werewolf.
Armed with his quick thinking, his loyal best friend, and clues that are equal parts ridiculous and terrifying, Ben must figure out who the werewolf is, why he’s being targeted, and how to stop him before the clock runs out.
Because monsters come in all shapes, sizes, and some of the scariest ones don’t have fangs at all.
The Monster Fighter series — proof that saving the world is scarier, funnier, and way more embarrassing than anyone told you.
